Little metal letters
How many have stopped to read
Those little metal letters
Beneath the chestnut trees
And the soft tread of time
Has worn away
What once was a better rhyme
As the conkers fall
Across the call
Of those cemetery lines
Standing testimonial for loves now long gone
We’ve read the prose and lord knows
How time just carries on

Kind of Soul
I’ll see you when the light has faded
And you’re only left in blue
When your dreams are old and jaded
And here’s what I’ll do
I won’t laugh like you did
I’m not that kind of soul
I won’t judge you lacking honey
Even though you’ll have grown so cold
I’ll just smile like I always do
And wish you a pleasant day
And then I’ll be on my way
You can’t haunt my dreams forever
No matter how hard you try
I think you’ll be the one left lonely
Learning what it’s like to cry
I’ll see you when the light has faded
Maybe we’ll sit and pass some time
But when your dreams are old and jaded
Well, I’ll still be dreaming mine

Supernaked
I don’t expect you know do you
How weird after all those signs
You’re just standing still
Wasting all my time
Supernaked
You see through me
Supernaked
And if it’s all I’ll ever be
Heart’s too raw
And feet too sore
To walk to some other rhyme
I hope you’ll still see
How you
Supernaked me
Ordering pizza at half past four
Look to the waitress, she looks to the floor
Look down what’s there to see
Hey it’s me
Supernaked
You see through me
Supernaked
And if it’s all I’ll ever be
Heart’s too raw
And feet too sore
To walk to some other rhyme
I hope you’ll still see
How you
Supernaked me
Wake up in a sweat, world's sleeping
And yet, through the curtains
I can see that big hand moon
Laying eyes on me
Supernaked
You see through me
Supernaked
And if it’s all I’ll ever be
Heart’s too raw
And feet too sore
To walk to some other rhyme
I’ll hope you’ll still see
How you
Supernaked me

Daze
Now the night’s clouding your eyes
With colours that daze my sighs
I can’t imagine
How we came to this
But let’s just stay
Let’s just stay
Because it’s bliss
Candlelight reflects on the walls
And far below a stereo calls
A tune down dark hallways
That echo with feet
As taxicabs mutter in the street
Outside the neon signs wink back at stars
And moonlight falls all over the cars
A cat screams for murder
And vengeance and pride
But here we are safe
Lying side by side
I can’t imagine
How we came to this
But let’s just stay
Let’s just stay
Because it’s bliss
Nothing but colours that daze my sighs
With colours that daze my sighs
I can’t imagine
How we came to this
But let’s just stay
Let’s just stay
Because it’s bliss
Candlelight reflects on the walls
And far below a stereo calls

What you've done, you've done for me
Weird groove on the vinyl breathes
Strange emotions, can't you see
What you've done, you've done for me
Serial song monogamy
And I can’t get back
‘Cause it’s gone too far
Like swimming against the tide
To a distant shore
Eyes lost behind the scales
Lying shipwrecked on the floor
Drowning in your words
Caught up in your chords
Weird groove on the vinyl breathes
Strange emotions, can’t you see
What you’ve done, you’ve done for me

Rumple, One More Windmill...back round again...
OK, so after some time away...I know, I know about ten months since I picked this up.. I was listening to Rock Star Supernova and the Foo Fighters while tackling the post-summer break housework mountain and thought, I really miss Rumple.
So here I am, new internet home, same old line-up (me that is).
I shall put up the back-catalogue and have a real buzz about reworking One More Windmill, which to be quite honest was severely lacking the last time round. So grab your air-guitars and get ready to rock!
